I originally wanted to read this book to see if it would be beneficial for my daughters to read once they enter their teen years. However, the more I read, the more I began to enjoy it and the message that Sadie pours out in it. Let me preface this review by saying I never really watched Duck Dynasty. I've only seen two episodes. Plus I do not watch Dancing With the Stars. I read this book as a Christian father with two young daughters that are growing up in a time of uncertainty and social turbulence. I found the message and lessons in this book to be insightful and timely. I will gladly give it to my daughters when they are older.This book is not about Sadie Robertson. It will not teach you how to have her life and her success and her passion for everything. However, this book will unlock the potential that is inside of you to live a fearless life if you embrace the trust and guidance of Jesus Christ. Guided by Psalm 46, Sadie Robertson chronicles how her faith in God has helped her to break free from the bonds of anxiety, fear, and worry in her life. Not once does Sadie proclaim how strong she is to be able to overcome the obstacles in her life. She makes it a point to give God the glory in all circumstances. The material contained in this book is Biblically sound and straight from the heart.Sadie shares the personal battles she has faced in her past, plus those she continues to encounter everyday, and how she uses the power of prayer and her faith in God to push through and overcome them. Several different Bible translations are used to clarify key points, as well as quotes from evangelists and scholars such as John Piper.Each chapter has questions, challenges, words of encouragement, prayer points, and key points to take note of. Sadie relays with clarity and Biblical truth her journey and how God has helped her learn to live fearless. It was a very easy and fast read and not only did I enjoy it and the layout of the book, but was very challenged as a 28 year old! Grateful for how God uses others to help us in our journeys!
She's a rockstar. I'm so glad the younger generation have her to look up to!! God is using her in mighty ways. Reading her words is so genuine! You can tell she has a heart for the Lord.

My first thought when I found out I was reading this book was "What, another devotional? Really? Thanks Mom!" It turns out it was a really good book. Sadie told about her funny stories, serious stories and times when she let fear overpower her. She told how she overcame her fear with the help of God. I really enjoyed the encouraging notes she put in there.
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I've read it from cover to cover twice. Sadie writes about a fear in her life in each chapter. She then goes on to describe how she overcame that fear. Each chapter contains a question to ask yourself about fear and a challenge which is essentially a tool to help you overcome that fear. Each chapter also contains a sample prayer to help you overcome your fear. This book probably targets high school, college age, and young adults, however I think people of any age will find it very helpful. If you struggle with fear of any sort, I cannot recommend this book enough!
